Personality: One part sugar, one part spice. On the surface Lenalee Lee comes across as a genuinely sweet 16 year old girl. But don't be fooled into thinking that also makes her an airhead or a doormat. Lenalee's very intelligent and actually comes from a tragic past in spite of her cheerful attitude now. Her parents died when she was very young, leaving her and her older brother Komui orphaned. Things only got worse when even they were separated, leaving Lenalee to feel like a prisoner in the Orphanage. The young Chinese girl tried many times to escape and eventually had to be restrained to keep her from doing herself harm. But salvation came in the form of Komui, who took her away from the place. Because of this, friends and family are the most important bonds to her and she is unquestionably loyal to those people. To forget that fact or question those bonds is the quickest way to hurt her -- and Lenalee may hurt back in return! Though far from a drama queen, she can be as emotional as any girl her age. Lenalee will forgive those who trespass against her, but it may take a little while for them to actually -feel- forgiven. Lenalee is also a hard girl to say no to thanks to a combination of her sweet nature and slight intimidation -- a text book to the head will usually cure anyone who gets out of line. While not macho (and with no desire to ever be macho), she has all the courage she needs to put herself between others and harm. She's observant when it comes to others, and can often pinpoint what's troubling those she's closest to. Overall Lenalee is optimistic without being naive, believing that as long as you're alive, any injury can and will heal.
